Established in 1992 by Valerie Heritage, The Communication Challenge provides organisations with solutions designed to improve performance by engaging and motivating their employees.

In 1998 Valerie bought the sole rights to a process called index360©.

index360© was originally designed, developed and ‘perfected’ with BP Oil, ASDA, NTL and Mothercare in the early 1990’s by a group of practicing Management Consultants whose objective was to design a feedback, benchmarking and measurement process that was practical, engaging and suitable for any level/role in an organisation, whatever the size.

Valerie has further developed index360©, incorporating the latest technology, into a robust and proven process with over a dozen ‘generic’ questionnaires covering all aspects of performance in organisations.

We have recently firmed up a partnership agreement that represents an exciting new development for index360. Working with MooreFiander Consultants (mfc), an innovative performance improvement consultancy based in Western Australia, we plan to firstly introduce index360 to Australia and later into Asia.


Rosemary Moore-Fiander, Managing Director, is excellently qualified to take on this exciting challenge.  Her professional background saw her working as Director of Capita’s Assessment & Development Consultancy in London prior to moving to Hong Kong in 1999. There she worked for HSBC as part of a team responsible for engineering an organisational culture change across Asia. Rosemary’s portfolio comprised Japan, India, the Philippines, Malaysia, and the People’s Republic of China and the project remains one of the most inspirational times of her career. She then moved to PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting and managed their Human Capital Solutions group, again with clients based across South East Asia. A move to Australia in 2003 saw Rosemary taking a three year sabbatical to grow olives and open a book café (as you do!) before returning to her professional career.


With a focus on developing high performance at all levels in the organisation, mfc has worked with clients from a wide range of industries including financial, mining, manufacturing and sales.
